Everybody loves a Moscow but let's make it festive! The Key to this drink is the cranberry juice! If possible try and find 100% all natural cranberry juice, not cocktail, not from concentrate. Those varieties are overly sweetened and don't fit the profile we are going for in this cocktail. Alternatively we can use fresh cranberries! If for whatever reason you aren't able to wait 3 years to grow your own shrub, store bought is fine. Just take about 6-8 depending on how big and muddle them in the shaker before you add other ingredients. (Don't forget to double strain this version) I like to add a couple dashes of cardamom bitters to give a bit of a winter spice note.
2oz OOLA Vodka
2oz 100% Natural Cranberry Juice
.5oz Lime Juice
Simple Syrup to taste
3 dashes Cardamom Bitters (optional)
Ginger Beer to top it off
No need to shake this one if you don't prefer to. Easily enough built in the copper mug! Muddle your cranberries if you went the fresh route. If not combine the vodka, cranberry juice, lime juice, simple and bitters in a shaker. Shake till cold, strain into copper mug. Fill it with ice and top it with ginger beer! Fresh cranberries as a garnish make for an amazing photo worthy beverage.
