This prohibition era drink was created by an Austrian bartender named Frank Meier. What is essentially a Gin sour got its name from popular slang used in the 20's that meant to call something excellent or outstanding. By using honey instead of a classic simple syrup we really develop out the floral and citrus flavors of rose petal and black lemon from our OOLA Gin.

Ingredients:
2oz OOLA gin
.75oz Lemon Juice
.5oz Honey Simple Syrup
Lemon twist
Preparation:
Starting with the honey simple syrup we are going to combine in a 1:1 ratio honey and hot water, stirring to dissolve and combine both parts thoroughly, then set to cool. Once the honey syrup is cooled, combine .5oz of the final product with the gin and lemon juice, shake and strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist. Quick and easy refreshing cocktail for any time of year. Experiment with different types of honey (Acacia, Eucalyptus, Australian, Orange Blossom) to fine tune this cocktail to your favorite OOLA Gin.
