The perfect Thanksgiving sipper. Old fashioned's are an easy and delicious cocktail for mixing up at home. Old fashioned are essentially 3 ingredients (Bourbon, Simple Syrup and Bitters) , and the steps you take and choices you make to get there can change the flavors dramatically. In this take we will be using maple syrup in place of a classic simple syrup and finishing it with walnut bitters to give it a sweet nutty molasses flavor.

Ingredients:
2oz Three Shores White Label Whiskey
.5oz Maple Simple Syrup
3 Dashes Walnut Bitters
Cracked Walnut to Garnish
Preparation:
In your vessel of choice add the bourbon and bitters. For the Maple syrup id suggest measuring out a 1:1 ratio of hot water and maple syrup and keeping a little bottle in the fridge for your cocktail making adventures. This dilutes the sweetness to about the same profile of a classic simple and also thins it out making it easy to measure a mix into your cocktails. Add in the .5oz to the vessel and stir for 10-15 seconds. Strain into a rocks glass over a large whiskey rock and garnish the side with a cracked walnut. If you like a bit more sweetness you can rim the glass in Maple Sugar!
